Another one of my firsts – Makkal Chon – a Korean Restaurant – authentic too! It’s hard to find authentic Korean cuisine here in Scarborough and Markham these days. I had a really good experience here at Makkal Chon. Thanks for Dishcrawl for introducing me to such an awesome restaurant!

We started off with a little introduction of this restaurant and a little history behind it. We even got to meet the owner and her family members. Mak Kal Chon is a family base business.

Lots of variety of food in their menu – I will for sure be returning back when the weather gets warmer – I really want to try their Pork Bone Soup! One of my favorite Korean dish is Pork Bone Soup!

From left to right: Ga-Ji Jorim && Kim Chi && Jab Chae
These are the three appetizers we shared – it was my first time trying the Ga-Ji Jorim too! It’s deep fried eggplant in a soy sauce with chopped vegetables. Very tasty and yummy! It’s a must have! The other two appetizers I’ve tried at other restaurants – they are pretty popular!

Here’s the 3 main courses we had that night.
From left to right: Bulgogi && Pa Jeon (Seafood Pancake) && Dak Galbi Ssam (Spicy Chicken Wrap)
I gotta say all these main courses tasted VERY yummy. I’ve had Bulgogi before but the other two was new to me. The Pa Jeon was delicious and unique. Same with the Dak Galbi Ssam – it would be something I would never have tried till that night. Definitely something spicy to have. It was a nice experience trying these out! I think I need to join more of these Dishcrawl events – so I can try more new things.
I definitely will be returning back to try their Pork Bone Soup!
