[Vaughan] Ikea Food Court – $2.99 Haddock Meal

What a disappointment from my last meal at Onion Steak and Seafood restaurant – even this $2.99 Haddock meal at Ikea is better than that! I didn’t know there’s were a deal till I walk into their main lobby! $2.99 includes fries and two piece of haddock. It was very fresh and juicy! Very satisfying for $2.99! I wanted to order another one but hubby was not that hungry. This sure was my first time trying Haddock at Ikea! I’ll be back for more!

[North York] Most Tea Espresso Gelato Dessert — Cafe Review

Two of my girlfriends and I headed to Most to pick up some desserts and a drink on a cold afternoon. A pretty interesting name to me – I must say. “Most” is the name of the little cafe on North York. We were in a hurry so we just grabbed a couple macaroons, three pieces of cake, and a drink to go.

This is actually my second time trying macaroons. Macaroons here weren’t as expensive as Butter Avenue is. But I could understand why it isn’t. These macarons weren’t made the way Butter Avenue did. I didn’t taste the “scent” in each macaroon. The green ones were suppose to be green tea, but it had no taste – just tasted very very sweet. A bit of a disappointment because I had pretty high hopes of biting on a piece of delicious macaron that day.

These two pieces of cake were for my two other girlfriends – they said these cakes didn’t taste fresh at all and didn’t much eat it after the two bites they had. What a waste right? It was such a disappointment to them because they were craving for desserts as well. Hope Most will improve in these areas.

This is what I had – don’t remember the name of this piece of cake. I was alright with it – except it was so sweet for my likings. At this point – I was very disappointed because these desserts weren’t cheap. Three piece of dessert, 6 macarons, and 1 cold drink cost about $40.00CAD.

Overall – not a very satisfying experience with Most – hopefully we’ll give them a second chance. Next time we’ll dine at their little cafe and have a tea with our dessert!

Oriental Style Pork Jerky – Singapore style

This shop has been around for a good year and I never gotten the urge to go try out their jerkies but since I had extra time the other day. I tried their pork jerky out and it was delicious! I had to get half a pound with my hubby. Half a pound is $11+ tax – one pound is $22+ tax. I find it quite pricy for snacks like this. But it was really yummy – I couldn’t resist from not buying it!

Asia Station Tea Time Special

My favorite place to go to for tea time is definitely Asia Station! I would definitely recommend you the eel and chicken sandwich. My all-time-favorite. It’s mouth-watering and delicious. For their tea time special – it also comes with a hot drink too. For cold drink – I believe you got to add an extra buck for that. Try it out next time your there!

Frozen Durian at Foody Mart

One day I was craving durian – so I got the frozen pack instead of the fresh one because no one eats them at home except me. It’s either you love it or you hate it kind of fruit. There’s no in between.

When I opened the packaged it stink the entire house for two good days. Hub said it smelled like garbage but to me it smells awesome! It came with two huge pieces and the price from what I remembered was $5.

The last time I ate a piece of durian was 2 years ago in China. That’s a long long time eh? I don’t think I’m going to have another piece like this for a long time because I don’t want any more complaints. Hahahaha. Do you love it or you hate it???

Summer Party Food

One thing I’ve been thinking about getting is a outdoor gazebos  for our backyard. I love hosting parties and if I have a gazebos in my backyard – I think I would have more summer parties. Also, I would love to have a tent too – one of those big ones and I can get outdoor furniture too. That’s the way to enjoy summer right?

These were the food we had for Canada’s day – we had a lot of fun with indoor games and just having dinner. It was fun organizing it. I think next year – I would want my party outdoors! Let’s hope my husband agrees on buying a huge tent for it! *cross fingers*

Healthy choices for snacks! Carrots, cheese, and cucumbers! The three “C”s huh?

Baked Gold Fish Snack Crackers (Whole Grain)

WHOLE GRAIN! That was what I had to look for when I was pregnant with my munchkin. It was just so hard because I had gestational diabetes – I had to watch my sugar level content. A lot of grain products have a lot of sugar in it – so I couldn’t eat much during my pregnancy. Instead – I did loose some weight at the end of my pregnancy too. Really not fun having gestational diabetes.

I didn’t know the Gold Fish snack came out with “whole grain” – when I knew – I went to the supermarket right away to get a pack for myself. But as you can see with the nutritional chart – I couldn’t have much. SUCKS!

Wild Wings @ Woodside Square

208

A girlfriend and I headed out for a girls night out at the Wild Wings. We wanted to try out wild wings because we never tried it before and it’s a new restaurant at Woodside Square. Why not right? I’ve always loved All Star wings and never tried other wings. Too bad they don’t have Greek fries on their menu though.

My all time favorite – sweet potato fries. It was alright – I think the serving is a little off because it was so little and from what I remember – it cost $5.99 or $6.99. It wasn’t bad – just the portion was small.

Sorry for the quality – took these pictures with my Blackberry and it was dark outside on the patio. The wings was alright – pretty dry to me. This is one of the new flavors I’ve tried out. I think it was Caesar dressing. It tasted alright – but I don’t think I would order it again – sticking with my honey garlic!
