After a long week of work for the hubby and taking care of the Munchkin for me – it’s time for a nice drink and some nice food. We both enjoy a good dinner with cocktails. This time around – I didn’t order any cocktails – just wanna stay away from the calories for a bit. Besides – my plate of dinner was enough calories for that night.
We decided to head to Dragon Bistro at Main Street Unionville for some burgers and fish. This was our second time here but first time trying their burgers. The burger was marinated with some sorta spice that I really didn’t love. I can’t tell what spice it was but I won’t be ordering it next time. I ordered the Dragon Bistro Burger – if I remembered correctly.
Hubby ordered fish & chips. I took a few bites of his fish – it was very juicy and delicious – battered just right. Not too heavy or too light. It came with coleslaw and fries. That was our yummilicious dinner – there were no room for desserts.
Hubby’s not good at surprises so this time – I surprised him for our second year wedding anniversary. I know he loves seafood and oysters – so Diana’s Oyster Bar & Grill will be a good place to dine at. I’ve never been here and he’s never been here before. This was our first experience and it was awesome! The food was just AMAZING. Couldn’t ask for more – seafood super fresh! PS: This is a super belated post from back in July 2013!
They served up complimentary bread and butter.
We had one dozen of oysters ; don’t remember what’s the name of the 2 different kind of oysters.
Lobster bisque soup
White wine boiled mussels
Steak with mashed potato
We ordered way too much food – more than we could handle. But somehow we managed to eat it all. Four appetizers was just crazy for two people. I’m not really a raw oyster fan – managed to have three. I preferred to have it baked in cheese and cream sauce. Definitely trying that out next time. I didn’t expect the steak to be that awesome because it is a oyster bar and not a steakhouse. The steak was one of the best I’ve had! Juicy and tender! I highly recommend this restaurant to all you foodies. A bit on the pricier side but definitely worth every penny. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE!
Want a quick and cheap meal? Costco is the place to go – I love junk food! Well more like – my other half and I love junk food. I know we shouldn’t eat too much of this – once in awhile is okay. Since Munchkin is getting older – food like this we need to stay away. Joy of having a kid right? But of course for our health too. I love the chicken fingers here – super fresh and yumz! Hot dog with a drink is a buck fifty and the chicken fingers with fries is $5.99 – not too bad for a quick lunch or dinner right?
Dining out on weekends is a daily thing to our family and we love to enjoy different kinds of cuisines. This time around – we headed back to Fire Fly Steak & Seafood restaurant. Not my favorite restaurant but I can bare with it. The food isn’t bad but to me it’s just very blend.
Since a couple of Christmases ago – they had this special for $20.00 for dinner for 2. Since than – they still have it daily. Not too bad when you get a 4 course dinner with this price right? Hard to find these days. This is one of the special meals.
This is the other special 2 dinner for $20.00. Hubby is a lobster fan and he just loves the seafood here. I had this meal before – the pasta was way too much for me.
This time I had the baked tomato sauce pork chop on rice. Not bad – I could only finish half – this cost $8.99 and it’s also a 4 course dinner. The price here isn’t bad at all – I don’t know why I just don’t like the taste of food here. Hubby loves it here.
This is dessert – some sort of jello. I usually just take two bites because I want to stay away from sweet stuff that’s not worth my calories. Overall – a great dinner with the family!
This is my second time dining at Raku Ramen & Izakaya – love the sushi rolls but not too much of the ramen. Not too many choices for their ramens here. The sushi rolls and ramen is average price. Not a huge restaurant – so the service wasn’t too bad – the staffs were attentive.
More sushi rolls – they range from $12.00 to $15.00 per roll.
Love the ramen but not much soup base to chose from. Overall – lovely dinner with friends. The sushi rolls is definitely a must try.
