I gotta admit – there are quite some big changes since the last time I’ve been here. I used to live very close to tenichi and back then – they weren’t as busy as they used to be now. Since business are growing – this place is HUGE now. They never failed to disappoint me in their food but the service is the opposite. With a restaurant this big – more staff is needed to please the customers.
Quality of food is excellent at all times!
The price during week day is around $27.00 to $30.00 – I don’t quite remember how much it was. I love the variety of desserts they have! Make sure you make a reservation before coming – it was quite busy on a Wednesday when I was there and we had to wait 20 minutes to get a table.
Saigon Star has the best seafood in town! It’s been a long week for hubby and so I thought – why not have a good meal to end off a work week right? His favorites are seafood and this is the best place to bring him to since he never been here. Instead of choosing curry crab we decided on garlic butter crab. It was yummilicious and the crab had a lot of meat in it. It was a huge crab for two to eat! But we had to finish it because we didn’t want to take it home.
We also order Pineapple Fried Rice & Baked oysters in Butter Garlic sauce.
Baked/Broiled Oyster was a to die for – if we didn’t order the large crab – I probably ordered half a dozen of oysters. It was so yummy! Can’t wait to be back next time!
Quite interesting – never knew Spring Roll had a All-You-Can-Eat menu till recently. The sushi rolls and sashimi were quite unique. Sashimi were fresh and sushi rolls were delicious!
They have unique names for their sushi that I don’t remember what they are called except for the Spider Roll.
Not bad for all-you-can-eat. I do like the variety of sushi rolls they offer. Only if they have a restaurant located in Markham – I’ll be visiting more. But North York is a bit far for us to drive 40 minutes for dinner.
I love cooking for the hubby and I but sometimes I just don’t have the chance to cook. Since my mother-in-law cooks during weekdays and weekends we usually have lunches with relatives. I really don’t have a chance to cook. Unless Sunday we are free – than we’ll sleep in and just eat at home before church. Nothing fancy but it’s simple to make. Mostly – I enjoy it.
This was my first time at Super Buffet ever since the restaurant changed names. To my surprise – the sushi and sashimi selection was quite good. Can’t say decent but edible.
It was on a weekend – so they served lobster. Not my favorite – can you see the amount of oil in it? It disgusts me!
They don’t have a huge variety of selection and the quality isn’t all that great. Will I ever come back? I don’t think so unless someone picks this restaurant for a relative dinner. Not my favorite at all.
