FireFly Restaurant at First Markham Place ;; Food Varieties

Fire Fly is not one of my favorite restaurants to be at. I just find the food a bit too blend for my tasting. But at times it could be good too. This time I ordered the french toast for my lunch. Something simple for the afternoon – not too heavy.

This is what my hubby had – he ate the entire plate. Well he can afford to eat like this during lunch because he just doesn’t gain ANY weight! What a lucky bum or what? If I don’t gain any weight – I think I would be eating like him. But I’m the total opposite of that – *sad face*.

Afternoon tea @ Asia Station

I met up with a friend for afternoon tea to discuss about our road trip vacation. I’m quite excited to rent an RV because I’ve never been on a road trip for this long and especially with an RV that I can sleep properly on. It’s a luxury eh? The motorhome insurance is quite pricey but good thing we found another company with better pricing. Looks like we are heading on a road trip next month to somewhere fun with a group of wonderful friends!

Going back to food – this is MY favorite food in this restaurant. Eel chicken sandwich and you gotta heat it hot. It melts in my mouth and after having it for the first time – I crave for it every time I’m near this restaurant. But too bad they don’t serve it for dinner. This cost $5.99 with a drink. Not so bad eh? It was delicious

The One bubble tea restaurant @ Vancouver

Another belated post – this is the bubble tea shop from Vancouver. I thought it was a casual night and it was just bubble tea – so I didn’t dress up or anything. But guess what? These people in Vancouver are all dressed up in suits and dresses for bubble tea? I’m talking about the Visa students here that came from China/HK. I thought that was ridiculous and weird to us because we are very casual.

The restaurant was really nice – they even had a grand piano in the front. I love the interior in this restaurant. One fact is – they don’t call the bubbles “tapioca” – that is a Toronto-ian term. If your in Vancouver – you call it “pearls”. Now I learned something new that night. Hhaha.

Bubble tea – not a huge fan of it but I don’t mind having it once in awhile. Have you heard about the news? Syrups and tapioca from Taiwan are no good – I’ve stopped drinking bubble tea as of now – I hope they fix up the problem soon.

Bubble Tea @ Destiny Scarborough

Okay – I gotta say that the service is still very CRAP at this location. I haven’t been to this location for about a year? I thought it did get better but the service is still horrible. It was super hard to get the waitress/waiters attention. Not sure if the one at Richmond Hill is the same or not. I just haven’t been bubble tea-ing for awhile. I was quite frustrated with the service and wanted to under-tip them. It was just horrible. Food was not necessary good too.

PASSION4FOOD 298

Oh – did I mention that they raised there prices too?? I was quite surprise because for a cup of milk tea with ice was $3.99 + tax but now at $4.49+tax?? What is going on? Especially with the service like this? Are they really going to expect customers going back?

PASSION4FOOD 297

Definitely don’t expect me!

Starbucks lovers?

PASSION4FOOD 238

Are you a Starbucks lover? I know a lot of people loves Starbucks coffee. But for me? I’m not really a huge fan because I try to stay away from coffee nowadays. They don’t let me sleep at night – that’s why I gotta cut down on my caffeine level. Weird huh? Even drinking a cup of coffee at in the afternoon – I cannot sleep at night. Is it just me or this happens to many people too? But it varies – sometimes when I drink at night – I can sleep. I guess it all depends on what kind of coffee beans it is eh? I don’t know too much about it – maybe you can educate me on that one.

PASSION4FOOD 239

This was two weeks ago – it was there 40th year anniversary or something? They were giving out free pastries if you buy your favorite drink. I didn’t dare to try this because I was staying away on sweet stuff. So my other half ate the whole thing himself. He said it was really good and tasty – he loved it. But guess how many calories this pastry have? 15- calories on this little pastry. I cannot afford it. Did you get a free one?

Go4Tea @ Richmond Hill

Go4Tea is one of the usual bubble tea store we love to go to. It’s actually one of our first date place too – a little special to us and reminds us of good memories too. We hardly go here anymore – maybe once a year? This place gets pack on weekends and holidays – its usually teenagers and early 20s hot spot now. What do I think about the service? The service is really not so bad actually. It’s way better than Destiny too. They have another location at Scarborough which is a lot smaller.

They have a wide range of snacks and meals and a large selection of drinks. Not so bad here.

Bubbbbbbbbbble tea! Green Apple Green Tea ! What’s your favorite?

Green Apple Green Tea with Tapioca

PASSION4FOOD 017

Yes – my favorite drink at all times. I was at work and was busy talking so much – I got really thirsty! That’s a disadvantage in working as sales! When you talk so much and explain so much and your customers just walks away! That is such a waste of time right? But what can we do? Wait for the next one and explain some more. I don’t mind it much – I find my job pretty fun to have because it’s relaxing and no stressful things to deal with. Some customers are pretty easy and with convincing – they will purchase. Do you work as a Sales too? You would know how I feel than! What is your favorite flavor for bubble tea?

Starbucks Accessories & Gadgets

PASSION4FOOD 003

I’m not a coffee lover but I love Starbucks Frappaccuino(is that how you spell it?) a lot – while lining up for a small cup of Frap – I browse around to see what they got as gifts. Look what I found? These mini cups – I think it can be used. Isn’t it cute and adorable? I like extra mini things – these can be great gifts if you know a friend that loves Starbucks.

PASSION4FOOD 004

More cute stuff – I didn’t end up getting anything because I was already at the mall shopping with my other half – boy the mall was so crowded with a lot of people. I hate crowded malls. My hands were full of shopping bags – couldn’t get my hands on these things – otherwise I would of picked up a few things. Do you drink coffee or other drinks at Starbucks??
