Kentucky Fried Chicken; Family Deal

I hardly have fast food nowadays because I usually eat out at restaurants or I eat at home. So there’s hardly any chance of having fast food. But we ordered take out last Sunday because we needed to stay home to watch WrestleMania (if you watch wrestling, you will know what I’m talking about!). We ordered a 10 piece family meal for the three of us. This meal consist of:

  • A box of large fries
  • mini pop chicken
  • 6 macaroni
  • gravy
  • 10 piece of chicken

Guess how much this cost??? Over $30. I know !!! How ridiculous can it get? I mean, it’s only fast food and it’s very unhealthy too. for 30$ and 3 people? Seriously, not worth eating and not worth my money. What do you guys think?

  8. funny the people in my family will have cravings for KFC once in a long while :p yes even myself. my colleague just bought us KFC meal last Fri hahaha filled my KFC quota for the next couple of months.

  9. Definitely don’t think you get your money’s worth with this “meal deal”. Honestly, I’m sure you could make this exactly meal at home for less, and it would probably taste better! =)

  10. @BABE KL
yeah KFC is so fattning hor? But once in awhile is good. but KFC in toronto is darn expensive lah. how about you? Is KFC in KL expensive gah??

  11. @ Peggy,
I gotta agree with you! but sometimes we are lazy ;) hehehehe yeah. but def not worth eating KFC for!! I didn’t know it cost 30$ till my fiance got back. thanks for dropping by ;)

  12. Thank you for dropping by my blog! =)
KFC is a joke – my husband eats it once in a while but I simply refuse any fast food restaurant. Mostly because I am vegan but I simply do not believe they are a good attribute to our un-healthy sized countries and health problems.

  13. @Tasha,
    thankf for dropping by;)
i dont eat KFC often! Def not worth the money for this when I can eat a healthier meal with less calories =)

  14. I used to love this stuff as a kid and in high school when a buddy worked there and brought home the leftovers. I guess it was too much of a good thing as it’s been nearly 20 years since I last tried it and I don’t really feel like I’m missing anything. Of course I don’t really eat any fast food other than Timmy’s coffee and timbits.

  15. @Steve
hey steve! thanks for dropping by my page to support!

glad your not eating KFC anymore because it is sooooooo fattening with all the oil I tell you!! I eat this like maybe 2 or 3 times a year! I rather eat something else with that price too!!

  16. hi jen,
i dunno i think this is okay.i bought KFC in the US and it was an 8 piece chicken meal + two corn on the cob + two kernel corn + one large mashed patato + gravy + 8 tea biscuits for 21 dollars. in the 8 pieces of chicken, 4 were original and 4 were crispy (the crispy chicken pieces were HUGE, twice the size of the original, they’re chicken breasts).

I found it to be okay, my own family enjoyed it with a couple Macdonalds’ burger on the side.

  17. Dear Jen!
    Greetings from Shizuoka, Japan!
Kentucky Fried Chicken, it be in in Toronto or Japan or anywhere else is all the same. Fast food with lots of salt to compensate little taste. The fries are usually frozen and thrown in the oil as such. Just paying too much money for food and more money for the doctor later!LOL
    Satrt cooking! LOL
    Best regards,
    Robert-Gilles

  18. @ Sonia Nasi Lemak Lover,

  20. @steff,
