I’m the queen of planning – that’s what I call myself. I never really got interested in planning parties and events till after the wedding. I love to organize and have everything match for a party. Even envelope printing is important. Invitation cards is a must in every event that I plan. It just gives a finishing touches to it. Are you an event planner?
I gotta admit – there are quite some big changes since the last time I’ve been here. I used to live very close to tenichi and back then – they weren’t as busy as they used to be now. Since business are growing – this place is HUGE now. They never failed to disappoint me in their food but the service is the opposite. With a restaurant this big – more staff is needed to please the customers.
Quality of food is excellent at all times!
The price during week day is around $27.00 to $30.00 – I don’t quite remember how much it was. I love the variety of desserts they have! Make sure you make a reservation before coming – it was quite busy on a Wednesday when I was there and we had to wait 20 minutes to get a table.
Baton Rouge is one of my favorite restaurants comparing to all other restaurants. Why? It’s just because I love their overload baked potato! Something that I can’t find in another restaurant and something that I crave most of the time. It’s fattening but its so damn good!
The Prix Fix menu they had that night were awesome – a three course menu for $35.00+tax+tips. Where to find prices like that right?
One thing that disappoints me is there dessert! Every time they have a prix fix menu – all they serve is chocolate mousse. Can they at least give us some choices instead of just chocolate mousses? I was not thrilled with it. Other than the dessert – my meal was quite satisfying!
Lots of birthdays this month and boy was I busy celebrating birthdays with friends. This was the last birthday celebration this month and thank goodness – only 1 celebration next month. I ended up getting my close friend the neumann microphones at musicians friend. Birthday presents can be expensive but we just all need to follow a budget right? Happy Birthday Joseph, may this year bring you a lot of success, love, and good health. Xoxo
With a four hour delay – we were each granted a $10 voucher to get whatever we want at the airport. Really? Wasted four hours of my time and with only a $10 voucher? I for sure will not take Air Canada ever again. Such a disappointment – especially with having a 18 month old flying with us. Screwed up our schedule!
Since we had lunch prior entering the gates – we were not hungry at all but what to do with $30.00 right? Had to use it up before we board the plane. Ordered a tea, two soups, and chicken wings to share for the hubby while Munchkin naps. At that point – I was already pissed about the four hour delay – I can’t give any food reviews upon this restaurant at the airport.
Saigon Star has the best seafood in town! It’s been a long week for hubby and so I thought – why not have a good meal to end off a work week right? His favorites are seafood and this is the best place to bring him to since he never been here. Instead of choosing curry crab we decided on garlic butter crab. It was yummilicious and the crab had a lot of meat in it. It was a huge crab for two to eat! But we had to finish it because we didn’t want to take it home.
We also order Pineapple Fried Rice & Baked oysters in Butter Garlic sauce.
Baked/Broiled Oyster was a to die for – if we didn’t order the large crab – I probably ordered half a dozen of oysters. It was so yummy! Can’t wait to be back next time!
I am so not a fan of this years weather here in Toronto. Way colder than many other years! But even though it’s cold and everything – that doesn’t mean we can take a break with life and jet off to somewhere warm. There’s still a kid to feed, errands to run, and work to go too right? Just today we quickly did a couple of errands – checked out these cmm plates, groceries, dollar store, and to the mall to get Munchkin a hair cut. I hope the weather turns back around soon!
Quite interesting – never knew Spring Roll had a All-You-Can-Eat menu till recently. The sushi rolls and sashimi were quite unique. Sashimi were fresh and sushi rolls were delicious!
They have unique names for their sushi that I don’t remember what they are called except for the Spider Roll.
Not bad for all-you-can-eat. I do like the variety of sushi rolls they offer. Only if they have a restaurant located in Markham – I’ll be visiting more. But North York is a bit far for us to drive 40 minutes for dinner.
